Intra-curricular activities are supplementary element aimed to strengthen students' knowledge in term of application and implementation. The activities are as follows:

Teaching Practice

The micro teaching (Amaliyatu-t-tadrîs) is an activity that is carried out by grade 6 students (equivalent to grade 12 in high school). This activity consists of teaching at workshop and formulating teaching program (amaliyah el-tadris), guidance on lesson plan, teaching practice and assessment on teaching performance. This activity is performed by dividing students into several groups and it is guided by one supervisor (Musyrif). Attendants for this practice are students from grade 2, 3, and extension 1. The contents of teaching materials are Islamic studies and two foreign languages (Arabic/English). All materials and teaching process are written and delivered either in English or Arabic.

Imamah Practice

The ability to lead jamaah prayers is a basic skill that should be possessed by all Daar el-Qolam graduates. Correspondingly, the practice to become imam and to pray in congregation is compulsory, in particular for senior students. In this account, the students are required to be able to read Qur'an, to comprehend shalat requirements and to memorize some recitations and prayers after shalat.

Manasik Haji (pilgrimage)

This activity is a sort of application of theories concerning Islamic laws (fiqh) and Islamic jurisprudence (Ushul fiqh). This practice is expected to give a clear understanding (learning by doing) on rituals of performing Haj (pilgrimage).

Administering Death Ritual

Providing social skills to students is not merely intended for transforming Islamic knowledge such as becoming an imam for jemaah, but also educating students for performing their collective social duties e.g., observing ritual of dead body (mayit), how to wash the dead body and dress it with shroud of Kafan (white clothing), and finally bury the dead.

Students' Handbooks Monitoring System

Books are the most essential means of teaching and learning process. That is why students should possess required text books. To monitor their cares and responsibility of their books, every students' books will be checked at the end of their study.

Muhâdatsah

Muhadatsah or conversation is an activity of speaking drills in bilingual languages (Arabic and English) which should be mastered by all students. This activity is an effective way to practice language fluency. Senior students serve as partners for junior students in conversation. Students will discuss certain topics on the basis of daily life.

Public Speaking

Public Speaking (Muhadharah) is an activity to practice language and to demonstrate ability to speak formally in public. The activity is to practice speaking skill or delivering a speech in three different languages (Arabic, English and Indonesian). Every student is obligated to prepare a speech before delivering it in front of their friends and audiences.

Islamic Ancient Manuscript

Studies of Islamic manuscript are prepared as aptitude tests in understanding texts written in Arabic. This activity is planned for students in grade 4, 5 and 6 who have studied the theory of Arabic grammar. The emphasis of the activity is to introduce students with ulama's literary works on Islamic studies in the past time.
